CBD or cannabidiol
CBD or cannabidiol is a component present in some (not all) cannabis strains. It is one of more than 545 compounds, which have been identified to date, present in the chemical composition of Cannabis Sativa. Among them, approximately 104 have been classified as cannabinoids because they present certain common structural characteristics. Within this group of cannabinoids, THC is also found, the compound, until now, more famous and more potent in the cannabis varieties present in the market. This is explained, because this component has a high psychoactive power, the CBD, on the other hand, not only does not have it but it counteracts the effects of THC.
